We’re Open To All.
At The SAE, our community of students and staff are as ethnically and culturally diverse as they are skillful in their studies. Within the walls of our school, the cultivation of that diversity is a driving force behind our success as a whole.
Here, we go above and beyond to ensure our students are working in an environment where the differences we share are at the core of our strength. The influences of those diverse backgrounds can be seen throughout everything we do here.
In our calendar of events, where the holidays of all ethnicities are celebrated and experienced together. In our performances, where the dance recitals and concerts we put on throughout the year encapsulate the customary styles and routines of our student body’s international backgrounds. And of course, in our collection of dining options, which highlight a number of cuisines and treats from around the globe.
All of this we do because we understand that by sharing our cultural values with one another, we continue to expand the possibilities of our future together as humans. Without the contributions of those from all walks of life, and the shared knowledge that’s been passed on as a result, none of us would be where we are today.
Any form of racial discrimination is seen as inherently destructive to the mission, vision, values, and goals that we’ve established. Therefore, it will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Our Anti-Racism Policy below outlines everything you need to know about the values we hold here at The School of Arts + Enterprise.
Anti-Racism Policy
The SAE is committed to the following principles:
- Establishing and sustaining a school community that shares the collective responsibility to address, eliminate, and prevent actions, decisions, and outcomes that result from and perpetuate racism.
- Eliminating inequitable practices and cultivating the unique gifts, talents, and interests of every child to end the predictive value of social or cultural factors, such as race, class, or gender, on student success.
- Respecting and championing the diversity and life experiences of all community members to support The SAE’s mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives.
- Acknowledging that racism is often compounded by multiple forms of discrimination.
