We’re a tuition-free and audition-free public charter school.
We’re located in the Arts Colony in Downtown Pomona.
We serve students in 6th-12th grades.

We Are Artists.
Our students enroll audition-free and select from 7 majors and 5 dual majors, which includes portfolio reviews, performances, critiques, and exhibitions. Our three campuses feature state of the art facilities, including a recording studio, dance studios, theater space, visual art gallery and more. Surrounded by Pomona’s thriving professional arts community, inspiration is around every corner. 

We Are Community.
With only 700 students across seven grades, we’re a small school with a big heart. When students enroll here, they find a sense of belonging. They’re seen and valued by their peers and teachers. Our close-knit community encourages expression and celebrates differences. We welcome all!

We Are Dreamers.
Our students are encouraged to explore artistic interests and find their passions - starting in 6th grade. Wednesday Afternoon Arts enables students to access classes in 15 different arts programs, so they can dream new ideas, pursue interests and discover new passions in the process.

Our innovative, flexible curriculum challenges and inspires students to achieve beyond traditional high school learning models. And the results speak for themselves: our graduates are accepted into leading arts conservatory programs across the country.

We partner with our students as they prepare for their futures. From mentorships, admissions visits, and networking with industry experts, to TED Talks and review panels, The SAE’s connections help our graduates get and stay on track with their goals after graduation. And our successful alumni frequently come back to share their industry expertise and networks with current students.

Our unique enterprise curriculum supports students as they prepare for their futures by building business skills. Our students connect their art to creative entrepreneurship and graduate prepared to succeed in whatever interests they choose to pursue.
