The SAE is a Public Charter School and therefore open to students in grades 6-12. Students do not need to reside in Pomona. 60% of students are from Pomona and 40% commute to The SAE from over 35 different cities.
No. The SAE is a public charter school and does not charge tuition. The SAE is committed to offering access to pre-professional level arts education at no cost to students. One of the core values of The SAE is to champion accessibility to the arts for everyone.
No. There is no acceptance audition or previous experience required to attend The School of Arts + Enterprise. Once at the school, student artists will find audition and selection opportunities for performance and exhibition work, consistent with a high quality arts school. Due to our small school size and nationally recognized Visual and Performing Arts Season each , student acceptance and opportunities are plentiful at The SAE.
No previous experience or artistic ability is required for attending The SAE. However, because The SAE approaches learning through projects in the arts and business, the innate "artist" in each student is supported-and becomes the vehicle for the student's academic success.
No. The SAE is a public charter school that is tuition-free and serves students in grades 6-12 that reside in California. Charter schools are public schools funded by the state but they enjoy more flexibility in how they run their schools, such as areas of interest, hiring, and curriculum management. Charter schools do not have to comply with boundary school rules and can admit any child residing in the state that meets the age requirements.
Absolutely! Ninety-six percent of The SAE's students go on to the college or university of their choice.
Yes! We accept any student, at any grade level,l as well as transfer students anytime during the school year.
