Step 1: Get Started, Audition-free
You read this right: enrollment at The SAE doesn’t require an audition..or tuition! We’re looking for students who are interested in expressing themselves, celebrating their differences, and listening to other points of view - including from classmates and teachers. Step 2: Discover Mediums & Art Forms in Middle School
6th-8th grades at The SAE are a unique experience. We encourage all students to explore different mediums and art forms - even if it means stepping a little outside of their comfort zones. Our Wednesday Afternoon Arts classes offer 15 different arts programs to choose from, from pottery to photography and more. Inspiration is guaranteed!
Step 3: Immerse in Your Interests in High School
By the time you reach high school at The SAE, you’ll be ready to deep dive into a 4-year course of study. You’ll choose from 7 majors and 5 dual majors, setting you on a trajectory of learning and experiences that build towards graduation. Your calendar will include rigorous portfolio reviews, rehearsals, gallery openings, and performances. But there’s also plenty of time for tutoring and getting your coursework completed during school hours.
Step 4: Share Your Alumni Success Story
You don’t have to look far to find alumni of The SAE. They’re streaming on your phone, playing to packed audiences, selling out gallery shows, and more. The SAE recently received an “Exemplary School” award - a highly coveted national distinction by the Arts School Network.
