Have you ever walked into school and felt like you were totally invisible? Like the things that make you interesting just don’t have a place there? At The School of Arts and Enterprise (The SAE), that changes on day one.
Weird Is Welcome Here
At most schools, standing out can feel risky. At The SAE, it’s kind of the whole vibe. Students here show up with big personalities, unique styles, and creative ideas that don’t fit into any one category, and that energy is exactly what makes this community so good. When everyone around you is passionate about something, it gives you permission to be all of you, too. That’s a pretty rare thing to find at school.
Your People Are Waiting
The SAE is a small school, which means your teachers know your name, your interests, and what you’re working toward. More importantly, your classmates are creative kids from over 35 different cities across Southern California who showed up here for the same reason you did: they needed a place that actually got them. Our alumni tell us all the time that the friendships they built here became the ones that lasted.
Teachers Who Get It
Step onto our campus and you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of artists who genuinely want to know what you have to say. Our faculty are working professionals in their fields, not just people who used to make art. They bring deep industry connections and real-world experience into the classroom, and they’re invested in helping you develop your own voice. At The SAE, what you think and how you see the world matters to the people teaching you.
Room to Figure It Out
Not sure what kind of artist you are yet? That’s exactly what middle school is for. You’ll get to take different art classes to see what speaks to you, or if you already know what you want to do, there are multiple courses in each discipline to explore. By the time you hit high school, you can choose from seven different majors and five dual majors to go deep on the thing that lights you up. And because The SAE is tuition-free and audition-free, all you need to walk through the door is a genuine interest in the arts. With only 600 students across grades 6-12, you won’t get lost in the crowd here. You’ll get known.
